Songwriter Showcase at Natalie’s presents Bruce Dalzell, Dallas Craft and Chris Graham in concert. Hosted by Eric Gnezda, this series, held the last Thursday of each month, features the finest regional and national singer-songwriters performing “in-the-round” in a wide range of styles, from Grammy and Kerrville winners, to the best up-and-coming songwriters.

BRUCE DALZELL is the patriarch of the Athens, Ohio, music scene. He is a craftsman, constructing delicate and thoughtful folk tunes that cut through all the pretense of the modern music industry to hit listeners at their core. Although his catalogue of tunes is not without dark or mournful underpinnings, his songs always glow out of that dark night, with soft but steady warmth. Among his many credits are appearances on “Mountain Stage with Larry Groce.

DALLAS CRAFT is a 25-year-old singer-songwriter who got his start at an early age in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Over the last two decades he has honed his craft into what he now calls Neo-Soul. Pulling influence from artists like Johnny Lang, John Legend, John Lennon and many more non-JL-initialed artists, his smooth melodies, sweet harmonies, and raw songwriting turn his one man show into a harmonious blend sure soothe all sides of the spectrum.

CHRIS GRAHAM resides in Westerville and went to college in Athens. He stuck around after graduating in 2005 to live the dream of “being a townie.” With a degree in audio production, he has been the head mastering engineer at his own company, Chris Graham Mastering, for the past 10 years. Someday, Chris hopes to move back to Athens with his family and live the “townie” dream once more.

Host ERIC GNEZDA is also the creator of Songs at the Center, the Columbus-based series that is syndicated through American Public Television to more than 160 stations coast-to-coast. A regular performer at Nashville’s famous venue for songwriters, The Bluebird Café, Eric was awarded the Ohioana Citation for Music Composition in 2006. His latest CD is Songs of Hope in a Changing World.
