Zeppelin Productions presents two nights of music at Natalie’s starring The Backroads Boys, better known individually as John Fullbright, Kevin Welch, Dustin Welch, and Michael Fracasso. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to catch these fabulous songwriters together!
Oklahoma native John Fullbright’s 2012 studio debut, From the Ground Up, received a Grammy nomination for Americana Album of the Year, and later that year won ASCAP’s Harold Adamson Award for lyric writing. In 2014, John released the critically acclaimed Songs, toured all over America and the UK, and appeared on Late Night with David Letterman.
Americana singer/songwriter Kevin Welch left his Oklahoma home at age 17 to pursue a life in music, settling in Nashville. He soon signed on as a staff writer, authoring songs for artists including Waylon Jennings, Roger Miller, Trisha Yearwood, Ricky Skaggs, and the Highwaymen. He later collaborated with Kieran Kane and multi-instrumentalist Fats Kaplin on a series of spare, moody originals and covers, and now lives outside of Austin, Texas.
Dustin Welch was raised among the sons and daughters of songwriters, instrumentalists, publishers, hippie kids from Gaskin’s Farm, painters, pot throwers, and pot growers. Inspired by his early exposure to such a vast wealth of revolutionary music, Dustin began devising a unique style of his own. Nowadays, he plays and tours on his own, with his band, and more than ever before, with his father Kevin.
Michael Fracasso is a genre-crossing artist whose critically acclaimed work includes nine distinctive solo CDs, recorded duets with both Patty Griffin and Lucinda Williams, and memorable tributes to Woody Guthrie, Mickey Newbury and Townes Van Zandt. Fracasso’s oft-celebrated songwriting has reached new heights on his latest collection, Here Come The Savages, where he has once again asserted himself as a miraculous American songwriter and truly exceptional singer.
