Diunna Greenleaf and Bobby Floyd

Natalie’s is proud to welcome gospel/blues/jazz vocalist Diunna Greenleaf in concert along with Grammy-nominated Bobby Floyd on keyboards. Based in Houston, Greenleaf is best known as an award-winning blues artist with her band Blue Mercy, and her influences include Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Sam Cooke, Koko Taylor and Aretha Franklin. For this show, she will perform mostly gospel songs, along with some of her blues and jazz classics. Diunna will be accompanied by the great Bobby Floyd, whose feel on keyboards is unique and inspirational, leading him to many distinguished appearances around the world. Bobby has performed extensively with Ray Charles, The Legendary Count Basie Orchestra, Dr. John and many others.
This special matinee show will be hosted by vocalist Debra James Tucker, the coordinator and frequent performer at the monthly Gospel Soul Brunch series held on the first Sunday of each month at Natalie’s. Debra is a product of extensive training in jazz, classical and gospel music. She is the writer/performer of the one woman show Survival of the Boulevard Singer, winner of an Ohio Arts Council Award for Individual Excellence, has been visiting instructor at Denison University in the history of African American Gospel Music and an artist in residence with a number of youth arts organizations.
