The Gospel Soul Brunch Series continues with special guest Joshua L. Powell, Jr, with special guests Marvin Miller Jr (Men of God’s Heart) and Teresca Showell. Hosted by Debra James Tucker on the first Sunday of each month as part of “Soul Sunday”, show time is 2:30 pm, and the Sunday Brunch menu is available from 11 am until 3 pm.

Powell is a gospel music recording artist, composer, choir director, and vocal instructor. Born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, he majored in music at the Delgado Community College in New Orleans. He arranged and conducted background singers for artists such as Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Beverly Crawford, Earnest Pugh, and Keith Dobbins and Resurrection Mass. He is currently in the studio enjoying singing for local and national artists and groups.

The unique sound of vocalist Debra James Tucker is a product of extensive training in jazz, classical and gospel music. She is the writer/performer of the one woman show Survival of the Boulevard Singer—winner of an Ohio Arts Council Award for Individual Excellence, has been visiting instructor at Denison University in the history of African American Gospel Music, and an artist in residence with a number of youth arts organizations.

Soul Sunday at Natalie’s is held on the first Sunday of each month, and includes a delicious Brunch from 11 am until 3 pm, with the Derek DiCenzo Trio performing between 11 am and 1 pm. The Gospel Show Brunch show begins at 2:30, and presents the best national and regional Gospel Artists in concert. The evening show, hosted by Paisha Thomas, features a variety of Soul bands and artists starting at 8 pm. In addition to the regular menu, enjoy a “Soul Food” special created just for this series!
