Songwriter Showcase at Natalie’s presents Anne E. DeChant, Olivia Millerschin, and Sarah Peacock in concert. Hosted by Eric Gnezda, this series, held the last Thursday of each month, features the finest regional and national singer-songwriters performing “in-the-round” in a wide range of styles, from Grammy and Kerrville winners to the best up-and-coming songwriters.
Anne E. DeChant is an award-winning Nashville recording artist originally from Cleveland, Ohio where she was a five-time Singer-Songwriter of the Year. She has shared the stage with Stevie Nicks, Nora Jones, Joan Armatrading, Sheryl Crow and the Indigo Girls. She has played venues ranging from the White House to Nashville’s Bluebird Café. Her song, “Girls and Airplanes,” about women breaking down barriers, has been featured on the soundtrack of the Hollywood film, “The Hot Flashes,” starring Brooke Shields, and in the critically acclaimed documentary film, “The Vetters: All We Needed.” anneedechant.com
Olivia Millerschin mixes jazz, rock and folk. Based in Detroit, she tours nationally, and was the winner of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, and a finalist in the Detroit Music Awards and the LA Music Critics Awards. She has played some of the America’s biggest stages, including Radio City Music Hall and the Fox Theatre in Detroit. “Olivia has a voice you melt into—it is beautiful, innocent, soulful.” (Nottingham Post—UK). Sarah Peacock bridges country, blues, Americana, and rock-n-roll. Her music is raw, truth telling, and fiercely unique. Sarah has released six albums, winning multiple awards for her songwriting. “Hurricane” won Best Song in the American Songwriting Awards, and “Beautiful” was a winner with International Unsigned Only. “The Cool Kids,” and “Are We There Yet” have nominated her for Best Female Artist and Best Song in a number of songwriting competitions. Host ERIC GNEZDA is also the creator of Songs at the Center, the Columbus-based series that is syndicated through American Public Television to more than 170 stations coast-to-coast.
