Soul Sunday: Amber Knicole
Sisters Are Doin’ It For Themselves: Natalie’s 6th Anniversary Celebration
- This event has passed.
Soul Sunday continues at Natalie’s with the dynamic Amber Knicole. who will perform as part of Natalie’s 6th Anniversary Celebration titled “Sisters Are Doin’ It For Themselves”, a full week of shows featuring female musicians. Amber has been likened to everyone from Chaka Khan to a young Sharon Jones and described as Beyonce’s wild step sister, but one thing is for certain: She is just as well known for her jazzy, gospel-influenced vocal prowess as she is for her captivating stage performance.
The monthly Soul Sunday evening shows are coordinated and hosted by the talented Paisha Thomas. Paisha is a locally based entertainer who engages others through art with her singing and songwriting. She creates music about love, politics, self-discovery, and the condition of the world
Soul Sunday at Natalie’s is held on the first Sunday of each month, and includes a delicious Brunch from 11 am until 3 pm, with the Derek DiCenzo Trio performing between 11 am and 1 pm. The Gospel Soul Brunch show begins at 2:30, and presents the best national and regional Gospel Artists in concert, hosted and coordinated by Debra James Tucker. The evening show will feature a variety of Soul bands and artists starting at 8 pm. In addition to the regular menu, enjoy a “Soul Food” special created just for this series!
