Soul Sunday continues at Natalie’s with “Motown in March with DJ Krate Digga. This interactive show will feature Motown classic tracks from various eras performed by a variety of musicians along with the audio-visual genius of Krate.

DJ Krate Digga celebrated 20 years as a professional DJ in 2017. The past two decades have allowed Krate to successfully move beyond the scope of solely DJing into the realms of producing, arranging, teaching, recording, mentoring; and most recently executive producing a documentary currently streaming on www.KrateDigga.com.

Schooled in turntablism by Detroit’s DJ Sicari (5E Gallery) while an undergrad at Kentucky State University, Krate Digga went on to form the Mos Wanted Crew in 1997 with DJ Sicari & DJ Rod-Nice. DJ Krate Digga is co-founder of The Mighty SoundChampz Crew (Columbus, 2001) and was also a founding member of The Usual Suspects DJ Crew (Columbus, 2006).

Flexing his trademark musicality as a DJ, Krate Digga is a performer with Watu Utungo, The Free Agents, S.P.I.R.I.T., and others. Krate’s resume of residencies including a number of  renowned poetry clubs. After 20 years in the game, Krate has solidified his name as one of the Midwest’s most diverse hip hop and soul DJ’s.

The monthly Soul Sunday evening shows are coordinated and hosted by the talented Paisha Thomas. Paisha is a locally based entertainer who engages others through art with her singing and songwriting. She creates music about love, politics, self-discovery, and the condition of the world.

Soul Sunday at Natalie’s is held on the first Sunday of each month, and includes a delicious Brunch from 11 am until 3 pm, with the Derek DiCenzo Trio performing between 11 am and 1 pm. The Gospel Show Brunch show begins at 2:30, and presents the best national and regional Gospel Artists in concert, hosted and coordinated by Debra James Tucker. The evening show will feature a variety of Soul bands and artists starting at 8 pm. In addition to the regular menu, enjoy a “Soul Food” special created just for this series!
